Kidzone

Kid –Zone currently operates three After School Clubs, these are situated at:

  • St John Bosco, Maghull – a mini bus currently operates from Northway to transport children to St John Bosco after School club. Children are also collected on foot from Green Park school.
  • Old Roan Methodist church, Alt Way, Old Roan with pick-ups from Holy Rosary and Aintree Davenhill Primary schools.

 

Transportation can also be arranged from other schools where this is convenient.

An out of school holiday scheme is also available. This will operate every school holiday except Christmas.

The club will maintain a high standard of childcare with the emphasis on the individual child. It will be staffed with trained and experienced employees. We are registered by Ofsted to provide day care for children thus ensuring that we comply fully with Ofsted regulations.

We aim to be as flexible as possible to cater for all parents and children’s requirements and we are always open to suggestions on how we can operate to suit all.

 

KID –ZONE AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Activities

The children will find a varied range of activities related to the child’s age and interests using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) please see attached forms for further information.

All activities are voluntary and no child will be forced to do anything that they do not wish to participate in.

Activities include table top games, art activities Outdoor activities, Quiet area for reading and homework, Craft, Imaginative activities , Role play area, Sports area, Playstation and games, team games and much more….

Refreshments

A refreshment area is provided, this consists of a range of different drinks and fresh fruit, which is accessible at all, times.

When the children first arrive they will receive a healthy snack, and a drink. A further light snack is provided mid-session (Snacks that are offered can be viewed on our notice boards).

During winter months we provide something warming for the children

Terms and conditions

The clubs operates from the end of school to 5.45pm every day after school. It is for children aged 3 – 12 years old.

Kid – Zone offers a high quality service, it is therefore essential that all parents read and adhere to the following terms and conditions.

Accidents

In the case of an accident KID-ZONE staff will have the right to act in loco parentis for that child. At least one member of staff on the premises will be first aid qualified.

If a child becomes ill during a session, every effort will be made to contact the parent or guardian.

If a child wishes, they may bring a change of clothes but these must be clearly labelled. We recommend that children do not bring valuables, including expensive toys or money to the club as we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage. 

Collection of children

It MUST be made clear to the staff who will be collecting the children from the club, as unrecognised or unauthorised people will not be allowed to take the children from the premises under any circumstances. In the cases where authorisation has been given a password system will be operated for people unknown to KID-ZONE.

No children will be allowed to meet the person collecting them anywhere outside the premises. They must always be collected and the staff must be informed that the child has gone, this is done by signing the child out.

Behaviour

We have a behaviour policy in operation that we expect children to adhere to and parents to support, this procedure is available for inspection at any time.

Please observe that KID-ZONE operates a no smoking policy and smoking is not permitted on the premises of KID-ZONE

Admissions

All children that attend the club must be registered.

In order for a child to attend, their place must be booked in advance. (Please refer to contact numbers given in a later section).

Children who attend regularly will be automatically booked in but please confirm attendance for the following week on the last day of the week that the child attends the club.

PLACES WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

Charges for the club

There is an annual registration fee of £10 per family payable on return of the registration forms. (This covers both the After school and Holiday clubs).

 After school – 5.45pm

Prices – One day – £11 per child, two or more £10 per child.

There is a discount for a full week’s attendance of 5 sessions at £46.00 per child.

 

Please note that children can be picked up at any time throughout the session. There will however be an additional charge for those children who stay after 17.45hrs of £10 till 18.00hrs and £10.00 for every fifteen minutes or part of thereafter.

All fees to be paid monthly or half-termly in advance – this cuts down on the time staff spend on admin and allows more time with the children. We do accept childcare vouchers please speak to the manager for further information

Cancellation procedure. IMPORTANT

You are able to cancel at any time on the below numbers which do also have a 24 hour answer machine.

Once a place has been booked it will be charged to you at the normal rate whether or not your child attends.

Complaints Procedure

KID-ZONE aims to provide a high quality, efficient and accessible service to parents/carers and children.

If at some point a child or parent/guardian has a complaint against some aspect of the club, we will do our utmost to resolve the problem. If the problem is still not resolved, then you should follow the formal complaints procedure set out in our polices. (these can be viewed at any time in each of our clubs.)

KID –ZONE HOLIDAY CLUBS

Activities

The children will find a varied range of activities related to the child’s age and interests. All activities are voluntary and no child will be forced to do anything that they do not wish to participate in. Amongst the activities on offer there will be: Organised outdoor activities

Light refreshments will be provided. This usually consists of cereal and/or toast when they first arrive followed by a drink, fruit mid- way through the morning session is also offered. drinks will be available throughout the day.

We do ask that the children bring a packed lunch (drinks will be provided by the Club). This should consist of food that does not require heating and should be brought in a clearly named container. A fridge is provided for food that requires cool storage. Please do not allow your child/ren to bring sweets etc, as the Club will provide any treats in a supervised manner.

Tuck Shop

We provide a tuck shop each afternoon, where we sell penny sweets, chocolate and healthy snacks, this is ran by the children and is none profit making. We recommend no more than 50p for your child to spend.

Places booked must be accompanied with a deposit of 50% of the daily charge (see charges for club overleaf). This deposit is non-refundable (see below for cancellation procedure). The deposit will be subtracted from the charge of each session taken up.

PLACES WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

Charges for the club

There is an annual registration fee of £10 per family payable on return of the registration fee form (this covers both the Holiday and After school clubs)

A daily rate of £20.00 per child will apply.

There is a discount for a full week’s attendance of 5 sessions at £90.00 per child.

Please note that children can be picked up at any time throughout the session, unless we are out on a trip. There will however be an additional charge for those children who stay after 18.00hrs of £10.00 and for every fifteen minutes or part of thereafter.

Please also note that some trips out may incur a charge but this will be notified in advance.

Cancellation procedure

You are able to cancel at any time on the above numbers which do also have a 24 hour answer machine.

Unfortunately, once a place has been booked any cancelled sessions will still be payable at the normal rate whether or not your child attends.
